Waxing Treatments
What is Waxing?
Waxing is one of the most effective and longest-lasting methods of hair removal available. Unlike shaving, which only removes hair at the surface, waxing pulls hair from the root — leaving skin smooth for weeks rather than days. With regular appointments, many clients also notice that regrowth becomes finer and sparser over time, making each session more comfortable than the last. Whether you're completely new to waxing or simply looking for a therapist you can truly relax with, every appointment at Blossom Beauty is carried out with care, professionalism, and your comfort as the priority.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most clients describe waxing as a quick sting that lasts only a few seconds. The first appointment is usually the most uncomfortable, but regular waxing often becomes much easier as the hair grows back finer.
-
Hair should ideally be around ¼ inch (6 mm) long (about the length of a grain of rice). This allows the wax to grip the hair properly.
-
Most clients enjoy smooth skin for 3–6 weeks, depending on their hair growth cycle and the area treated.
-
No. Waxing does not make hair grow back thicker or darker. With regular waxing, many people notice their hair becomes finer and sparser over time.
-
It's best not to. Shaving disrupts the hair growth cycle and can make your next waxing appointment less effective.
-
Yes, although the skin can be more sensitive. If you're having an intimate wax, simply wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup to your appointment.
-
It's best to avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas for 24–48 hours to reduce irritation and the risk of infection.
-
Avoid direct sun exposure and sun beds for 24–48 hours, as freshly waxed skin is more sensitive and prone to irritation.
-
Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or blocked pores.
-
Many people with sensitive skin can still be waxed safely. Let your therapist know about any skin conditions, allergies or medications during your consultation.
-
Some medications (such as isotretinoin / Roaccutane, certain acne treatments or topical retinoids) can make the skin more fragile. Always tell your therapist about any medications you're taking.
